Plastic
What to recycle:
Plastic laundry & dish detergent bottles.
Plastic clear and cloudy jugs from milk, water, cider, etc.
Plastic containers from shampoo and personal care products.
Plastic yogurt, butter, cottage cheese and other dairy containers.
Plastic clear containers like peanut butter jars, soda and juice.
Plastic microwave trays.
Plastic empty medicine bottles.
Plastic oil, antifreeze, windshield wiper fluid containers, etc.
Plastic six pack holders from glass bottles. Plastic lids from all the above.
What not to recycle:
Styrofoam plates, cups, packing material (“popcorn”), egg cartons, meat trays, etc.
Plastic toys. Plastic bags. (Recycle at local grocery store).
Plastic “food” tray liners. Plastic utensils. Cellophane.
GLASS
What to recycle:
° Glass bottles and jars from food and beverage, including lids.
Clear and colored glass containers, including lids.
What not to recycle:
Light bulbs. Window panes and plate glass.
Ceramic mugs, dinner and cookware, vases, etc.
Drinking glass. Crystal. Pottery (Planters).
Metal
What to recycle:
° Metal cans from food, baby formula, pet products and beverage containers, including lids.
Aluminum products such as unsoiled foil, pie pans, T.V. dinner trays, etc.
What not to recycle:
° Small household batteries (Save for a household hazardous waste clean-up program)
PAPER
What to recycle:
Newspapers (as purchased with glossy and colored inserts).
Magazines.
Colored and plain corrugated cardboard boxes that have not been
used for food. Brown paper bags.
What not to recycle:
Tissue, pizza, cereal and juice boxes. Paper egg cartons.
Deli, bakery and metallic bags. Paper and bathroom tissue rolls.
Milk cartons. Disposable diapers. Frozen juice containers.
